Nexira unveils innovative solutions for Women’s health and Microbiome at SupplySide West

Nexira, world leader in natural and organic ingredients for dietary supplements and nutrition, is proud to announce the highlighting of two innovative ingredient ranges at the upcoming SupplySide West trade show. These new solutions target women’s health and the microbiome, offering scientifically proven benefits for well-being and beauty.

Women’s Health: Beauty from within and Appetite Control

For women’s health, Nexira presents two new scientific studies:

  1. Natural & synergistic combination of carob and nopal with Carolean™ for Appetite control: a recent in vivo study conducted in 2024 has substantiated Carolean™’s mechanism of action and demonstrated benefits in regulating appetite. Carolean™ has shown a clear ability to significantly slow down gastric emptying measured both acute and chronically along with a significant reduction of food intake (up to 47% of decrease after 3 weeks).
  2. Organic olive extract with Oli-Ola™ for Beauty from within: Oli-Ola™ is a 100 % natural olive extract produced from organic agriculture in the Southern Mediterranean region. In a clinical study conducted in 2023, Oli-Ola™ has shown significant results on different parameters of skin health: improvement of skin elasticity by +13%, increase of epidermal permeability barrier and better skin hydration. 87% of women were satisfied with the product and 60% perceived tangible benefits after 3 months of use.

Microbiome: Modulation of glycemia and Boosted diversity

When it comes to microbiome, Nexira adds two new references to inavea™, its range of organic, carbon-neutral prebiotics:

  1. Blend of cinnamon extract and acacia fiber with inavea™ cinnamon & acacia for blood sugar modulation: Nexira has demonstrated prebiotic activity with modulation of gut microbiota, a significant increase in Short Chain Fatty Acids (SCFAs) such as propionate and an enrichment in bacteria such as Parabacteroides distasonis, both recognized markers of metabolic health. An in vivo study also showed a synergistic effect of inavea™ cinnamon & acacia with significant positive modulation of blood glucose and insulin levels.
  2. Complementary blend of carob and acacia fibers with inavea™ carob & acacia for microbiota diversity. While carob is widely used as a natural texturizer, it is an innovative way to promote it as a prebiotic fiber. To empower a healthier microbiome, this new reference boosts the microbiota diversity, ie the number of different species of bacteria in the gut microbiome. inavea™ carob & acacia has demonstrated a microbiota modulation with the promotion of beneficial bacteria and SCFAs. Thanks to the different structure of acacia and carob fibers, inavea™ carob & acacia offers a full spectrum fermentation, acting across the entire intestine.
